Tasks: Created a city environment for a night-time sequence.


The city of Melbourne,Australia was the inspiration for our city in Ghost Rider. Different areas of the city where photographed during the day and night which allowed me to select areas and buildings, to build the specific area around a CG hero building. (There is actually a tower similar in shape, but we extended it several stories taller).


The courtyard where Ghost Rider falls from the top of the hero building was reconstructed and painted to match a real street in the city - although the sorrounding buildings are CG. The reconstruction process included tile stitching, photogrametry, image reprojection, painting and working with 3D CG buildings from a series of buildings from a proprietary library at imageworks.
