Along with the layout department I participated in the challenging task of creating a documentary-style camera for the animated film.
In order to do this, Sony was able to provide us with a setup based on the extensive knoledge and experience in motion-capture projects (ie. Polar Express and Monster House); And attach a real video camera (used mostly for weight) to Maya, including all the lens controls available. We where then able to view the digital sets and shoot with the camera as if we where in that world.
