"Amateur Athletes Promoting Blood Donation Through Sport"

RedRojas is a team of amateur athletes behind a movement promoting blood donation. We are inspired by the many people who donate blood, and compete in support of all whose lives benefit from blood donation. The team was formed in 2008; its name, in memory of Adelfa Rojas, mother of founding team members Andrés, Jorge and Julián.

Every year, our team athletes participate in numerous world class and community sporting events promoting our cause.

Our Team's Name

- Red: meaning "network" in Spanish, and also the color red in English.
- Rojas: Noun: Ro-jas, Sp.[roh-hahs]: Maiden name of Adelfa, whom the team is named after.
   Also meaning the color red (rojo/a) in Spanish.
- The color red, a network of athletes, and the Rojas surname, all come together
   into RedRojas: A network of amateur athletes promoting blood donation through sport.
